Last week, Black Lives Matter activists interrupted a forum for Democratic presidential candidates Marton O'Malley and Bernie Sanders at Netroots Nation, the premier gathering of progressive activists in the US. Initially, neither candidate handled it well.
If you're not a fan of social media, and haven't yet begun obsessing over the 2016 race, it's possible that you haven't even heard about this.
But what started as a seemingly containable Squabble has since snowballed into a major conflict between Black Lives Matter Activists and supporters of Bernie Sanders. And that conflict has revealed a larger chasm between black and white progressive activists.
